Drone Services in Houston
Construction progress documentation: For commercial, multifamily and infrastructure projects across the city, we capture dated aerial photos and video from repeat viewpoints where feasible. Automated waypoint flights help maintain consistent viewpoints across visits, making construction progress easier to compare. The files support owner updates and project records. Learn more about our construction progress documentation.
Industrial drone inspections: Houston industrial sites can request visual exterior imagery of tanks, vessels, piping, flare stacks and roofs within an agreed scope. Inspection imagery is reviewed by an API certified inspector so your team can decide where closer attention is needed. See our industrial drone inspections.
2D maps and 3D site models: A 2D visual map or 3D site model gives everyone one shared view of a site for coordination meetings and visual context. Compare options in drone photos, 2D maps or 3D models or visit our drone mapping and 3D site models page. Visual imagery, maps and models do not replace hands on inspection, testing, engineering assessment or a licensed land survey.
Why Aerial Views Help in Houston
The City of Houston covers about 665 square miles and, according to its Planning and Development Department, does not have a citywide comprehensive zoning ordinance. Development is guided by subdivision and site plan rules such as lot size, setbacks and parking. In practice, active construction can sit close to occupied homes, offices and businesses, and an aerial record helps show how a site related to its surroundings at each stage.
Houston is also a working port city. Port Houston owns and operates eight public facilities along the 52 mile Houston Ship Channel, and industrial properties across the region include tanks, piping, stacks and large roofs. Aerial imagery covers elevated areas that are hard to view from the ground.
Service Area and Capture Planning
EverestDrone serves the City of Houston and the wider metro, including the Energy Corridor and Memorial areas in west Houston and nearby communities such as Katy, Sealy and Waller. Because the city includes several airports, airspace is reviewed for every address.
To confirm a flight, we need:
Address or coordinates and site boundaries
Areas or work stages to document
Site access, permission and operating constraints
Deliverables, audience, timing and repeat frequency
Airspace, weather and flight conditions reviewed for the actual project
Nearby areas we serve: Energy Corridor, Memorial, Bellaire and Pasadena.
Qualifications and Project Assurance
Flights are conducted under FAA Part 107. Inspection imagery is reviewed by an API certified inspector, and you can read about our founder's qualifications. EverestDrone carries commercial drone liability insurance, with a certificate of insurance available on request. Capture scope, deliverables and scheduling are agreed before the flight.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fly near Houston's airports?
It depends on the exact location. The City of Houston identifies special land use and height rules around Bush Intercontinental, Hobby and Ellington airports, and sites near them need an airspace review before any flight is scheduled. Approval is never assumed, and some locations may need adjusted timing, altitude or scope, or may not be flyable.
Do you work at industrial facilities along the Ship Channel?
We can, when the facility approves the plan and its safety and access requirements are met.
How fast are files delivered?
Photos and inspection imagery are typically delivered 2 to 3 business days after the flight. Timing for 2D maps and 3D site models is confirmed when we quote.
